We change the more formal, visible elements to make them easier for people to work in and magnify the informal networks that connects everyone in the company together so everyone feels included and cared for.
At Organelle we are intensely curious about both the formal elements and the informal networks which makes us ask lots of questions and ensures we get to know the people and organisations we work with before we try to help change anything.
Building Healthy Organisations. Our experience suggest that the formality of the organisational design process can give leaders a false sense of security in terms of how successful the change will be. Very little attention is paid to how the new organisation will work informally and that the people in it be happy and healthy. At Organelle we can help to diagnose and change both the formal structures, the informal networks and culture that supports them.
Creating Inclusive Groups. The way groups collaborate can create competitive advantage as it is often difficult for other companies to replicate them. However if the people in these groups feel under-developed, under-valued or have insecure working relationships they don’t work together effectively. Engaging Organelle in this work means groups will form quickly, development will lead to increased performance and the groups that need to collaborate will be productive and inclusive.
Building Productive Leadership. This generation of leaders are unique as they are navigating increasingly complex business environments and multiple generations who all want different things from their leaders. Therefore the importance of leaders genuinely caring about the people who work for them and being able to deliver in complicated, ambiguous situations is becoming vital for their success and mental wellbeing. At Organelle we can create multiple layers of leaders who care about their team and the company from Exec teams to 1st line leaders.
Sophie Hall - Founding Director
Sophie founded Organelle in March 2023 after having led organisational development projects for over 25 years as an internal OD consultant and an external OD Practice Head in a management consulting firm. She started her healthcare career in commercial functions and has held a variety of local, regional and global roles in Roche and GSK. Previous commercial role spanned Sales, Launch & Marketing, New Business Development and Market Access.
For the last 15 years, Sophie has worked as a global Organisational Development leader working with Exec leaders delivering a number of critical strategic transformations. Projects included the formation of an R&D Franchise and global Core Services organisation, a digital transformation across the global Franchises, Medical and Commercial and the implementation of systems/new operating models to support financial and HR digital systems. All this work needed a meticulous focus on ensuring the organisations had the right structures, processes, capabilities, supporting culture and leaders to be successful.
She has an NTL Accredited qualification in Organisational Development and is an experienced C-suite level executive coach.
